ITV Visual Design Language
ITV approached Fitzroy & Finn to design and define a comprehensive Visual Design Guide for all of ITV's diverse online portfolio. Over an 10 month period we worked with their in-house design team to design, and defined a comprehensive Style Guide.
The style guide rationalises all aspects of their website; from a unifying and flexible grid, image sizes, ratios and treatments, typographic hierarchies, navigational patterns, advertising integration, full suit of icons, programme banners and an extensive module patterns library. The result was successfully rolled out and used throughout all of their websites.
To Project Manage such a complex project we invited the very capable hands of Matthew Shorter from Unthinkable. We worked very closely with ITV's Andrew Levy, Director of Web Solutions Delivery and the very talented ITV Experience team headed by the inspiring Alberto Barreiro and his team of designers (Sarah Mason and Mick Evans) information architect (Mike Nagle) and front end developer (Ashley Fletcher).
